Westchester Intergroup carries the message through our public outreach programs — on the website, the telephone hotline, on diner placemats, on the new billboard outside of the White Plains Whole Foods—and through our flyer program.
Since our flyers are now newly updated, we’re calling each of you into service. click on the link below to download a copy of the new OA Outreach flyer, suitable for printing and then hang it in your community. We’ll also have printed copies of the flyer to distribute at all our meetings throughout Westchester and Putnam.

But we’re also going a step further. Each time you hang a flyer, please let us know where it is. The Stop & Shop, on Palmer Ave, in New Rochelle, you say? The A&P in Yorktown Heights? On one of the bulletin boards in the hallway off the church where you have your Saturday meeting?

We’ll add it to a private Google map we’ll be creating that shows us collectively blanketing Westchester and Putnam with the message of recovery! Also, those of you who wish to can also send along your first name and last initial to be added to a list of all those spreading the solution through the flyer program. That way, we’ll inspire each other in collective service. (Of course, if you choose to hang flyers and not have your name listed, by all means, that fine too!)

Great news! I checked on the flyer at Stop n Shop, 234th & Broadway, Bronx NY and all the tabs were pulled, replaced it!
This morning I posted the updated flyer at CURVES FOR WOMEN, Columbus Avenue, Tuckahoe. Before I left the facility one of the information strips had been torn off! This is a great idea for spreading the word.

I had a peculiar experience with my flyer posting. It disappeared off the door of Aroma within an hour of my posting it! I’d asked the manager if I could post it, and he was all for it. So I assumed that the owner saw it, didn’t know it was approved and took it down. But a few days later I asked him, and he said he never saw it. So one of the other customers must not have liked it, and decided to tear it down! I put up another one, on the front of the counter. Only one of the tabs has been torn off so far, so there’s not a lot of interest here. I’m going to try some more places in Larchmont.
