  2. WUIG will host two marathons on May 6th and November 17th. Details to follow.

  3. WUIG will host two workshops on September 16th and December 9th in 2018. Details to follow

WHERE: Holmes Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center
WHEN: Friday, April 20th at 4:30 p.m. through Sunday, April 22nd at 1 p.m.
COST: $230 due by March 15, 2018 (please choose a payment option below)
Attendees will be housed in double rooms only, on a first come, first served basis— there are only 22 beds available for this weekend session so register early! Rooms are located in the main conference building (Agape). The package price includes six (6) abstinent meals; beginning with dinner on Friday at 6 p.m. through lunch on Sunday at 12 p.m.

  • Save the Date: Saturday, February 24, is OA’s Unity Day…celebrate with us beginning at 2:15 pm to recognize the strength of the Fellowship worldwide as members join hands around the world at 2:30 pm EST. Details to follow!
  • Submissions for the next Serenity Times newsletter are due the first week of January. The topic is From Childhood to Now: How My Life has Changed through OA . Email submissions to wuignewsletter@gmail.com
  • December 12 [was] OA’s Twelfth Step Within Day. We’re encouraged to call members we haven’t seen in a while, on this day, as well as on the 12th of each month, keeping in mind our Tradition of anonymity when we leave messages.
  • Everyone is encouraged to attend the WUIG 2018 kick-off meeting on January 4 at (7:00-8:30, 197 Manville Rd, Pleasantville) to share ideas on what programs and events you’d like to have next year…everyone has a voice…there is no They, only Us.

Thanksgiving Day Phone Marathon and Meeting Closures

Thanksgiving Day Telephone OA Marathon Meetings will run every hour from 8:00 am to midnight (EST) on the Pacific Sunrise OA meeting phone number (712.432.5200) with a different pin number, which is 4285115#.

The following meetings will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving holiday:

  • Wednesday Katonah 7:30 pm at United Methodist Church

  • Thursday White Plains 12:30 pm at United Methodist Church (Bryant Avenue)

  • Thursday Hartsdale 7:00 pm at Seventh Day Adventist Church

  • Thursday Yorktown Heights 7:30 pm at United Methodist Church (Rte 202 & 35)

These are the Key take home points from the October Intergroup Meeting

1) The noon time meetings at the Methodist Church on Bryant Ave in White Plains are struggling. If they don’t get more support soon, they will have to close or reduce frequency [We call these meetings “noon time,” but they actually are 12:30pm-1:30pm

2) The November/December newsletter, “Abstinence through the Holidays” needs submissions. The deadline is 10/26

3) Upcoming anniversary meetings
